Welcome to the 56th Cockburn Sound Regatta

Hosted by The Cruising Yacht Club of WA, this year's Regatta will be true to its theme of "serious sailors having serious fun!".

The 56th Cockburn Sound Regatta will be held from 27th December to 30th December 2013 with a separate "feeder race" for the historic P&O Trophy from Fremantle to Rockingham held on the 26th December 2013.

This Regatta has historically been one of Western Australia's premier events and, with its sheltered waters, stunning beaches and convenience to Fremantle and the Swan River, it is easy to see why it is once again developing such momentum that it is now marked on every sailor's "to do" list.

For the first time in 2013, the regatta will include a "Classic Boat" division, for vintage timber yachts.  Sportsboats, too, are now offered their separate division.

To create further interest, this year the Organising Committee is encouraging Associations to stage an "in house" competition allowing sailors to compete in their own class within the Regatta programme itself. 

Whether you are a serious competitor, or you just wish to relax in the Club and soak up the atmosphere this Regatta creates, you will find a memorable experience that draws you back again.  Welcome aboard!
